Classic Fountain Pen

A traditional filakto made by Greek Orthodox nuns. Size is 1" x 1". Attached with a plastic natural colored cross. These are blessed by Greek Orthodox nuns of a U.S. based Monastary. Filakton available in blue and red.

Filakto is a Greek word referring to something that keeps you safe by chasing away the evil. It is a small religious cloth pouch pinned to a the clothes of a baby on the upper left shoulderblade. Sometimes the mother also pins a cross and/or the "mati" to the baby alongside the filakto.
