The Mati - or eye - is given to babies and children - or to whomever you wish to provide protection to. The Mati is a small pin or medallion of blue stone with a black eye in the center. The person wears the mati to ward off the evil eye. The traditional name of the mati is matopiastra. The mati is a type of filakta (also filakto). Filakta is a Greek word referring to something that keeps you safe by chasing away the evil - evil spirits, eyes, and thinking. The Mati - or Evil Eye is the most popular guardian. The eye absorbs the evil from someone thus protecting the baby from negativity.
There is a 12 count order minimum for personalized pin orders.
