How to Layout your pin personalization

Some examples of various personalization are below. Feel free to design your layout however you feel best suits the personality of the main participants in the baptism. Pleaste note: we center all text vertically and horizontally so a layout with 3 lines on one side and 2 lines on the other – will still be centered vertically on the ribbon.

** How to List the Baptized child’s name**

The baptized person’s name can be listed in a variety of ways. There is no right or wrong way – it is whatever feels most comfortable to you on how you wish to “present” the child’s name and officially introduce them to the Orthodox faith. For ribbon printing purposes, sometimes length is an issue and one of the names (middle or last for example) is not listed .

For a child being baptized with their first or middle name.

Note: Option 1 is the most popular way to denote the child’s name on a witness pin:

· Option 1: First, Middle & Last Name Example: “Sophia Eleni McAllister”

· Option 2: First & Middle Example: “ Sophia Eleni”

· Option 3 (first name must be baptismal name): First & Last Example: “Sophia McAllister”

For a child being baptized with a baptismal name not part of their legal name:

Note: Option 1 is the most popular way to denote the child’s name on a witness pin:

Example: Child’s legal name: Nikos Apostolos McAllister

Child’s baptized name: Nikodimos

· Option 1: First, Middle, Baptized & Last Name Example: Nikos Apostolos “Nikodimos” McAllister

· Option 2: First, Baptized & Last Name Example: Nikos (Nikodimos) McAllister or Nikos “Nikodimos” McAllister

· Option 3: First, Middle & Baptized. Example: Nikos Apostolos (Nikodimos)

· Option 4: Two lines . Line 1: Full name, Line 2: Baptized Name. Example:

o Line 1: Nikos Apostolos McAllister

o Line 2: Baptized Nikodimos

1. Blessed Celebration Ribbon Personalization

  • Our imprinted ribbons are made of the highest quality, thick, satin fabric. Our imprinting is done on a top-of-the-line printing machine. We do
not use a hot stamping machine - there is no need to worry about smudging when you order from Blessed Celebration!

2. Left vs Right Side:

  • Left and right are determined by looking directly at the ribbon someone is wearing. When looking at the ribbon, the left side is on the left, right side is on the right. We highly recommend to keep ribbon copy succinct.
